Sugarland and Little Big Town cover Madonna's "Like a Prayer": Watch it here!

Mon, Mar 21, 2011 at 2:20 PM

We passed 2 million Facebook followers today, and to celebrate this amazing milestone, here's video of our cover of "Like a Prayer" with Little Big Town.

This marks our fourth cover with the Little Big Friends -- everyone knows about "Life in a Northern Town," but if you haven't seen "Sigh No More" (Mumford & Sons) or "Walking in Memphis" (Marc Cohn), you can watch those here. Got ideas for other songs this dynamic six-some should tackle? Leave 'em in the comments! You never know...

Well that's just spooky. I have heard you singing just about every song on that list! But I came here to mention Talking Heads' "And She Was." And to tell you, in case nobody ever has...Sugarland, you make the rockin' world go round.

I had Hard to Handle rolling around in my head for the longest time, in regard to you...but now it has been overtaken by Jealous Again. Weird...and totally random.
(What can I say? Spring makes me sassy.) But will ya do it?

    Hey Sugarland,
Are you still checking in here? Cause I'm just getting started, cuz...I heard Grand Funk Railroad's version of Some Kind of Wonderful the other day and thought of you. I'm not sure what that is, but I have heard it a half-dozen times since then and it keeps chanting "Sugarland". But I really want you to come out...Alive and Kicking! (Simple Minds, you know-people. Why is this beginning to sound autobiographical? Anyway, back to the list!) Little Wonders. (Yup. Rob Thomas. That's been brewing for a while. Now I have to find it in my piano for my own-self, too...but if YOU were to do it...doncha think? Maybe?) Let's see...what else have I got here in these pockets? Oh, there's that old thing. Wonderful Tonight. And I'm not for changing lyrics to accommodate gender, I'm really not. You could even say I take opposition to that sort of thing...usually. But if you could croon "brushes her long brown hair" special-for-me, that would be stellar. (I'll never ask again, I promise! I'll ask for everything else, for sure, but not that.) Oh yeah!!! This is solely for fun, because you've got such great shoulders-sorry, STRONG shoulders is the expression-and again, I hear you doing it: Escape, by Rupert Holmes. Even though it's got that Yoga dig, it's still such a great, swarthy song, and could be a cheeky little splash of light in a live show. Well, that's what I've got for you tonight, my sugars. I love you, Sugarland. Every last one of ya!

This is excellent, I can't stop watching it! And, it's even better because I was at that Bloomington, IL concert.

I'm thinking a collaboration album would be a great idea; I'd buy it! My favorite song when I was younger was "Mmmbop" by Hanson and I can't help but wonder what it would sound like coming from the two greatest groups in collaboration history. :)
