  1. From the pen of Jennifer Nettles...

Five years ago I was introduced to The Shalom Foundation. Shalom is an organization that works to aid the people of Guatemala in the areas of health care, nutrition, housing and education. While many of you know that I have supported Shalom for several years now, you may not know that you also have been supporting Shalom: For the past four years, Kristian and I have donated a dollar to Shalom from every single ticket purchased to one of our concerts. So if you've come to see one of our shows, you have danced and sang and rocked your way into some good karma, my friends!

Read on for more from Jennifer on the Shalom Foundation, their mission, and how you can continue to help...

  2. Hoo boy, we didn't know how our second night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut could possibly top last night's blast-off, but there was a marriage proposal in the Sugarpit during "Little Miss" (complete with technicolor LMP signs), and that is pretty durn hard to beat. We wish the happy couple a lifetime of joy, and hope they can bring their own Little Miss (or Mister!) to a show someday to show them where it all began.

In other words, the building may have been the same, but the crowd was very different -- and just as awesome -- for Night Two, Electric Boogaloo. Extra credit to the men in the house for holding down their part on "Everyday America" louder than possibly any show this year, and to the women in the Pit diving after guitar picks like they were bridal bouquets.

Were you one of the thousands stomping their feet during the Incredible Machine this evening? It's been a great weekend on the road here in New England, but it's not over until we hear from all of you. Use the comments, write your own blog post, or stop by the forum, and tell us about your night!

  3. We're at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut for two nights this weekend, and as usual, Night One (Friday Funday!) set the bar high. From the man in the Sugarpit waving his beer-carton hat in the air to the folks aaallllllll the way up in the last row of Section 112 who never sat down the whole show, you guys were a loud, happy, super-fun addition to the Incredible Machine!

There was some kind of dance-off vibe in the air tonight, with Kristian polishing his '80s prom moves (note: he did not wear a dress to prom), Jennifer adding a little extra shake to "Find the Beat Again," and our dynamic duo inventing what we believe is called "The Row" during "All I Want To Do" -- look for it. It'll be sweeping the nation soon.

If you were one of our Sugarfriends in the crowd tonight singing your face off, come tell us about it! Use the comments and the forum, use Twitter and Facebook, and give us those concert reports. We wanna hear about your evening!

  4. Manchester, it is so nice to be part of your fall. For those of you unable to join us this evening, the Verizon Wireless Arena is right near the banks of the Merrimack River, and on this drizzly fall day, the leaves had turned and were falling into the gray waters rushing along past the red brick buildings, and... oh, it was a perfect New England day.

Can't complain about our crowd, either -- especially the two sets of twins in the Sugarpit, and the line of tiny girls in blue LOVE shirts who kept trying not to smile (but we knew they were just playing hard to get). Were you part of the Incredible Machine in New Hampshire this evening? If we can ask you to give us one more thing, it would be your concert reports. Tell us about your night!
