Let the SOUND of LOVE Surround You!

Let the SOUND of LOVE Surround You!

This was supposed to be posted on July 9th, but for some reason, the site wouldn't let me post it. Better now than never! :] When I saw Sugarland at Stagecoach in April, I didn't think my life could get any better, and then it did. On Thursday (July 8, 2010) I saw them perform at the Greek Theatre and I was blown away. Even though I was sitting all the way in the back, I still had an amazing view! The Incredible Machine is the most amazing, indescribable, magical, intelligent, unique, creative thing I have EVER seen! I had made a sign for them that had the four symbols on it(heart with wings, heart key, feather, and the umbrella), said Sugarland The Incredible Machine(in the classic Sugarland writing of course!), said You damn right we love Sugarland, said Down in CALIFORNIA up to no good, and I had also drawn the word Believe just as Jennifer has it on her wrist. I had spent appx. and hour and a half to two hours making that poster, and was very proud of it, which is why I was so upset when it ripped. LUCKILY GoCountry saved us and gave me some tape to repair it! :] Michelle Branch was ending as we made our hike to our seats to prepare for the best hour and a half ever! As I was standing there(yes standing, seeing as I didn't sit down until the concert was over) singing all the words to every song(even the new ones, Find The Beat, Incredible Machine, and Stand Up) telling my mom which song would be next, one of the girls sitting behind us said "you know all the words to every song and some of which aren't even out yet and for the most part you know the set list, shouldn't you be in the front row?!" We all started laughing. :] It was great! Before the show, there was this really nice security guard who let me go outside to take pictures of the trailers after I had already come inside, oddly enough as my mom and I were standing around talking she came over and told us they were clearing everyone out. I had wanted to go down to the stage and leave my poster there in hopes that in some way it would get back to Jennifer and Kristian, but I wasn't allowed to go down there so I asked the lady if there was anyway she could get it to them for me and she said yes she would make sure they got it. I don't know if they ever did get it, but I really hope they did. So we walked outside the gates and as we were standing around watching them load the trucks with all the equipment, we saw Genna, who got the signed guitar. I asked her if I could take a picture with her and the guitar and she said yes. She has to be one of the funniest, nicest, happiest 10yr olds I have ever met! I didn't know if my smile could get any bigger, I felt like my head was going to grow just to hold my smile, and then she asked if I knew how to play guitar since Kristian had told her she had to learn. I said yes and I showed her a few basic chords (G, C, D, A, and Em) and then she asked me to play a song for her...on the guitar! I couldn't believe it was really happening, usually I'm very self conscience about playing and don't really like playing in front of anyone except family and friends, but this time I had NO problems at all. Naturally, I was going to play a Sugarland song and since they hadn't played it, I decided to belt out Joey. Genna said it sounded amazing, which made me feel really good. :] I have a lot of people to thank in allowing me to have one of the best nights of my life, but most importantly, Jennifer and Kristian: It really says something about how you guys perform and how talented you are in writing music when I get chills everytime I hear you perform Stand Up. Each and every song has a message behind it that everyone sees in a different way and I think it's a very beautiful and special talent to be able to provide that to millions of people as you guys have. Thank you for being my inspiration in life, I look up to you both in every way possible! <3 <3 <3 :] A last note, Welcome back to The Greek Gail! Hope you enjoyed being back! :]
