Mississippi State University campus
I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the listing of upcoming tour dates. Sugarland is actually coming within 45 minutes of my hometown what are the odds. I will definitely be going to that concert. I have already told my boss at work about needing April 21,2012, off. She of course thought I was nuts especially since tickets are on sell yet. I was making sure there would be no room for errors.

Do you know what that is? Is it a festival of some sort? I tried to find information on the internet, but couldn't find anything. So far, they've only released festival dates so I assumed it was one.

I did some researching and the Cotton District Arts Festival is going on that weekend if I'm not mistake. I still can't believe that Sugarland is coming so close to my hometown. Around here we call it "Starkvegas" instead of Starkville.

I went onto visit.starkville.org and liked their facebook page. They confirmed that Sugarland will be performing as a part of Super Bulldog Weekend. They also said that tickets info should be available from MSU athletics in the next few weeks

Does anyone know if they will be offering pit tickets for this concert or are the Field GA tickets the same as pit tickets. No one seems to know? Tickets go on sale Tuesday.

I was told that it would be 48 hours before the link was up and running, but I got my ticket today.

Just letting everyone know, once again, the presale going on right now on the MS State website is not the Sugarpass presale through this site. Information regarding that presale should be posted later today.

The Sugarpass pre-sale for Starkville, MS will happen tomorrow morning 2/8 on Sugarlandmusic.com at 8am CST.

I would find out if there is any difference before buying another one. I asked KarB ealrier, but haven't got an answer as of yet. I'm assuming that it's the same as last year: if it says GA on it you're good to go. Hoping to get a clear answer soon. Not sure why the venue and the band management are running two separate fan club pre-sales. Caused quite a bit of confusion.

The venue should not have been running a fan club (Sugarpass) pre-sale. All Sugarpass pre-sales will happen on Sugarlandmusic.com unless otherwise noted. As always, Sugarpass members will receive an email alerting you of pre-sales in advance.

As of now, we are planning on driving up that day, but that may change. It's about an 8 hour drive, and if we have to stand through the football game, and then the concert after sitting in the truck all that time, my wife is gonna be grumpy =) I may just rent the hotel for an extra night and drive up the day before. If so, I'm up for dinner. Is there anything cool to do around there for the next day before I drive home?

I will do some research of things to do in Starkville, but there is Tupelo about a hour away. I live in Columbus 30 minutes from Starkville. I know there is a great Italian restaurant Old Venice Pizza, Oby's is cajun food, Mexican & Peruvian, Chinese, and Southern comfort food, Deli shoppes. Starkvilleonline.com is a great website to visit for more information.

I noticed on msu athletics website that the gates will open @ 3 p.m. on the 21st. Does anyone know if fans will be allowed on the field early for the concert? Will there be a m&g ?
